An economy based on a deceitful foundation and a infinitely flawed system is finally disintegrating. Months of interest rate slashes by Bernanke and his private Federal Reserve bank have weakened the U.S. dollar to a point of no return. What has allowed the U.S. government to spend so much for so long was the privileged position of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Now that many countries are de-pegging from the dollar and looking to alternatives such as the Euro, it is unlikely that the U.S. dollar will ever regain it’s position as the unquestioned king of currencies.
This is not a negative event however, runaway spending is what enabled the U.S. government to construct a police state/war mongering apparatus. It also turned the U.S. into the most wasteful nation in the world and has left it’s inhabitants weak, fat, and vulnerable. Perhaps a trial of fire is what we need to re-gain our self respect (for real this time) and learn how to live more self sufficient, independent, and free.
…now don’t you accept any government handouts when it gets ugly, this is an opportunity to break free from government coddling and I hope you will join me in seizing it.
