How to Create a ‘Terror’ Front – Part 2

In the first part of this series I performed a preliminary investigation of the organizations who were dubbing the conflict in Sudan genocide and calling for foreign military intervention. In this article I will explore the possible motives driving their conclusions.

  • First off we have the International Association of Genocide Scholars. Some of their publications include “Jewish-Christian Dialogue: Drawing Honey from the Rock”, “Identity Politics in the Age of Genocide: The Holocaust and Historical Representation”, “Resolution condemning Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s statements regarding Israel and the Holocaust”, and of course their “Resolution on Darfur”. Founded in 1994, the IAGS appears to pick and choose which events can be considered genocide, part of their criteria seems to be that the ethnic group in peril must be either of the Jewish or Christian faith.
  • The Committee on Conscience of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, is a governmental and privately funded ‘think tank’.
  • The Genocide Intervention Network is an organization that was founded by two college students in response to the conflict in Sudan.
  • Africa Confidential is a newsletter that covers African politics and economics, founded in 1960 by a group of British individuals. In 1994 in went under the ownership of Blackwell Publishing.
  • Genocide Watch is an international organization based in the U.S., their mission statement is to predict, prevent, limit, eliminate, and punish genocides throughout the world. It’s founder, Gregory Staton,  is also president of the previously mentioned IAGS.

These groups, despite their overarching mission statement of ‘genocide prevention’, fail to do any reporting on the plight of the Iraqi people since the U.S. led invasion of 2002 or the continual oppression of the Palestinians. One of these groups defines the Armenian Genocide as a prototype of ethnic cleansing but fails to mention the wholesale and ongoing massacre of the indigenous peoples of the Americas.

I am all for bringing atrocities into the light so they may be prevented; but when you pick and choose what to deem a ‘genocide’ based on ethnicity, religion, or social status you are simply perpetuating the cycle of violence.

Perhaps if we take a stand against murder, in general, we can forge some common ground and prevent future atrocities. The public relations apparatus of the government stands in the way of this perspective. In order to maintain a sense of nationalism in the inhabitants of a given country the government must instill a sense of ‘us’ versus ‘them’. The greater the stratification the more control you posses over a populous. If the people of one region did not fear invasion by another then what would the motivation be for military spending?

If gangs were not feuding over territory what would be the motivation for massive police funding? Perhaps if we explored why the gangs exist we could eliminate them. Here’s some information from the U.S. Department of Justice:

Street gangs, outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMGs), and prison gangs are the primary distributors of illegal drugs on the streets of the United States. Gangs also smuggle drugs into the United States and produce and transport drugs within the country.

Perhaps if we decriminalized drugs and tackled the reasons why people use drugs we could eliminate gangs and drug abuse. Why don’t we take this approach? Because it is not profitable and it reduces governmental control over the people. In the city of Los Angeles, almost 70% of the budget goes to the police force. A whole multi-billion dollar industry has developed to imprison primarily drug users and sellers. In the United States as of year-end 2007, a record 7.2 million people were behind bars, on probation or on parole. The U.S. now has more people imprisioned than any other nation, including China.

What prevents the people of the U.S., who traditionally claim to cherish freedom and liberty, from breaking this cycle of violence and suffering? Ignorance and dogma. Most Americans are not aware of the shear number of people in prison and they are unaware of the true cost of the situation. Those who are aware of the situation cannot link cause and effect, typically because they posses a negative stereotype of a drug user. Indoctrination systems such as the media, education, and religious institutions build a concept of the drug user as an evil degenerate; an enemy of society. They fail to explore the complexity of the situation, of how one may be driven into drug abuse, and how responsible drug use can have positive effects. Instead of building compassion towards others, they alienate and villify the weakest members of society.

This process of division and exploitation is used over and over again. Every time we fall for it we become more isolated and in that isolation we become that much weaker, more suseptable to manipulation and control.

The Large Hadron Collider isn’t Ready to Destroy us… YET

Humanity’s largest science project to date, the Large Hadron Collider, sent two particle beams around it’s 17 mile circuit today. One beam was shot clockwise and the other counter-clockwise, this was a crucial step to test the functioning of the machine.

The next step will be to collide the particles, after which the LHDs detector arrays will be calibrated. The machine will be shut down until the beginning of next year, at which point it will be ready for full scale collisions. That’s when you can start worrying about the end of the world.

Many predictions have been made as to what will occur when the real tests begin, my personal favorites include the creation of a blackhole and the discovery of time travel, surprisingly to a laymen such as I, time travel is more likely scenario. From my perspective both possibilities are horrifying.

A blackhole would be nasty for obvious reasons, but the time travel aspect is not quite so clear cut. According to theory, time travel to the past would only be possible back to the point where the first time machine is introduced. I don’t believe that the initial data retrieved from the LHC would allow the government to produce a machine capable of transferring large quantities of matter to and from the future, what would be more likely is the transfer o knowledge. Knowledge from the time machine would essentially allow scientists to procure technology produced decades if not centuries ahead in the future.

This is a disturbing idea but the current behavior of governments would suggest this is exactly how they would use it. Think of the strategic implications, it would allow the nation or in this case super state (see EU or NWO) to dominate all challengers in short order.

I don’t believe that’s the likely outcome however. What I’d really like to see is the discovery of the Higgs Bosen so we can finally get our anti gravity drives and you know what that means… FLYING CARS!!

No flying cars for the poor though, the funding of 6.7 billion Euros that was allocated to the LHC suggests that although humanity may be pushing forward technologically it certainly isn’t advancing socially.

Bush Wants More Torture

Grand Decider of the Amerikan Empire, George Walker Bush, has vetoed legislation that would prevent the Central Intelligence Agency from utilizing techniques such as water boarding to gain information from captives. The justification of this action was that it took away, “one of the most valuable tools in the war [of] terror”.

Despite the ruling of other governmental entities both national and international that water boarding is considered to be ‘torture’, it has been decreed that “specialized interrogation methods” must be available to the intelligence community in order to protect Amerikan Corporate citizens and their assets. This should not come as a surprise to anyone, a continuity of events has made it clear that the paradigm has changed. The United States constitution is now just a “damned piece of paper”, the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act has granted the federal government total policing powers, the suspension of Habeas Corpus has corrupted the justice system, and the pending bill HR1955 “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007″ will effectively apply all legislation previously only targeted on terrorists, on U.S. citizens.

So don’t be shocked if you find yourself bent over in a compromising position with a Homeland Security officer standing firmly behind you, it’s merely part of legislation designed to keep you safe.

The Government is Trying to Kill You

Yes, that’s right. The government is trying to kill you, and they’re succeeding very nicely. To demonstrate how I came to this conclusion I must first break down how the government functions and how it affects society.

A government, as we learned in the prescribed American Government class, is a body of elected individuals granted authority to create and modify legislation. That’s the jest of it. The authority of elected officials comes from the people they represent. Authority is the ability to coerce people into doing your bidding. Authority can only exist with power, and power is typically manifested through the threat of force.

So basically if you live in a dictatorship, your leaders have authority based on the threat of force; through police, military, death squads, torture, etc. In a democracy, authority is derived from the will of the people; if the people no longer feel that their leaders represent them they are then free to replace them. A democracy can resemble a dictatorship in that it may grant power to the majority over the minority.

In the United States we have a constitutional republic, in which the elected leaders represent all people based within a range stated in a decree of granted rights. A constitution is a means to prevent oppression of the minority from the majority. This type of system came about during the founding of the United States because there was a faction that essentially wanted an anarchistic type of nation, and another that wanted a strong federal nation. A truce was formed and it was called the Great Compromise. State governments and the federal government both played a role and were safe guarded by checks and balances.

This type of system was nearly the best type of government you could have, it protected individual freedom and provided basic government services. However, soon after the Constitution was signed, those who sought to extort and dominate entered the political arena and began to undermine the rules that made this type of government work.

One critical alteration was the formation of a privately owned central bank. A battle of sorts was fought throughout the 1800’s and into the early 1900’s, the Federal Reserve banking system was the final result in 1913. This granted the power of financial manipulation of the United States to the richest people in the world.

The Civil War saw a drastic increase in federal power after it’s conclusion, it essentially transfered slave ownership from private individuals to the government.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

Citizen: A native or naturalized member of a state or nation who owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection.

It was all downhill from there.

Now the federal government had jurisdiction over everything and everyone. Then sprouted bureaus for everything from the Administration for Children and Families to the Bureau of Verification, Compliance, and Implementation. These agencies do not exist for the benefit of anyone who does not belong to the top tier of wealth holders. They exist to aid corporations in maximizing profits and to consolidate power in the hands of the elitists. Ever wonder why you’re eating sodium benzoate, HFCS, aspartame, bovine growth hormone, and drinking fluoride?

The military industrial complex is an excellent example of government/corporate collusion (hence fourth called ‘CorpGov’). A revolving door exists between government positions and corporate boardrooms. Haliburton and the Carlyle Group are two prime examples. A situation forms where destruction becomes very profitable. The destruction of the World Trade Center brought the largest insurance payout in history to Larry Silverstein. The consequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq created giant contracts for military suppliers. The turmoil in Iraq essentially rendered its oil fields inaccessible which provided a reason for the oil cartel to boost the price of oil, the oil companies are now reaping obscene profits.

It seems that in this brave new world the government has mutated into a corporate services organization. Everything is now a commodity, the air, the water, the land, your body, your mind, and your soul. The reaper doesn’t determine when it is your time based off of some metaphysical schematic of destiny, he uses a balance sheet.

Depression at Last

An economy based on a deceitful foundation and a infinitely flawed system is finally disintegrating. Months of interest rate slashes by Bernanke and his private Federal Reserve bank have weakened the U.S. dollar to a point of no return. What has allowed the U.S. government to spend so much for so long was the privileged position of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Now that many countries are de-pegging from the dollar and looking to alternatives such as the Euro, it is unlikely that the U.S. dollar will ever regain it’s position as the unquestioned king of currencies.

This is not a negative event however, runaway spending is what enabled the U.S. government to construct a police state/war mongering apparatus. It also turned the U.S. into the most wasteful nation in the world and has left it’s inhabitants weak, fat, and vulnerable. Perhaps a trial of fire is what we need to re-gain our self respect (for real this time) and learn how to live more self sufficient, independent, and free.

…now don’t you accept any government handouts when it gets ugly, this is an opportunity to break free from government coddling and I hope you will join me in seizing it.

The Fascist Movement

There has been a concerted effort on the part of many governments, IGOs, and NGOs to create legislation that strips the freedoms of humanity under the guise of security. The rights that we are granted as human beings are being torn down incrementally all across the world. The most recent action that I have become aware of is a piece of legislation that has already been passed by the United States House of Representatives. The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 would essentially enable the government to label United States citizens as “enemy combatants”. Tied in with other pieces of legislation such as P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act 1&2, the United States government could imprison anybody for practically any reason for any length of time without a trial. Didn’t think it could happen here?

Crack Down… on Liberty

Authority, it seems, has gone completely out of control.
Week after week reports are surfacing of unprovoked acts of police brutality.

The most recent incident involves a 16 year old student, Pleajhai Mervin, who had her arm broken by a high school security guard for accidentally dropping a piece of cake. The girl was subsequently arrested along with nearby students who were clever enough to capture the incident on video with cell phones. When the victim’s mother demanded that the guard responsible for assaulting her child be arrested she was charged with assault and taken to jail.

This followed an incident that occurred at the University of Florida only a week earlier. During an event where Senator John Kerry was speaking a student apparently asked the wrong questions. After Kerry’s lecture a Q & A session was allowed, when 21 year old student Andrew Meyer began asking some tough questions his mic was cut and the campus police grabbed him. He rose his hands into the air and declared that he hadn’t done anything wrong, more police joined the fray and drug him to the back of the auditorium. He was then pinned down to the ground by over nine officers, he begged them not to use the taser on him but his cries fell upon unmerciful ears. Andrew was shot with a taser while pinned down by at least eight cops and taken outside and arrested.

Then back in November of 2006 at the UCLA library, 23 year old student Mostafa Tabatabainejad, was tasered by campus police for failing to provide identification.

Don’t forget there were several seperate incidents where a 6 year old child, a pregnant woman, and an elderly woman in a wheel chair were tasered…

Democracy in the United States

Without a well informed citizenry who is not swayed by the prolific promotion of the main stream media of so called “front runner” candidates, democracy as we know it will not re emege in the United States. There are powerful interests who are counting on the masses to buy into baseless rhetoric in order to bring their candidates into power. Do not be confused, the upcoming presidential election will be among the most crucial in the history of our nation. Take the time and throughly research every candidate before making a decision, and please do not discount an individual because you have never heard of them before.

How To Create a ‘Terror’ Front

sudan.jpgEveryone has heard of Darfur and there is no doubt that the people there are suffering. The U.S. has declared the situation genocide, but neither the U.N. or other nations have. In a move that can only be detrimental to the situation the U.S. has just issued sanctions against the nation of Sudan. This is a move that will only serve to destabilize the situation further by weakening the government.

This is a complex war between farmers and herders. The government is protecting the farmers, the United States is the only country in the world declaring this a genocide. It’s not quite a civil war as you would see in a homogeneous population, it’s more of a battle between factions.

I’m going to do some more investigation on this situation. It appears to me as if the United States is taking steps to dissolve the nation of Sudan. Check back, I’ll have some interesting information coming in.
